Rigorous Academics and Comprehensive Supports

Our school’s North Star is academic achievement, and we believe in purposeful structure to support students’ academic growth. We have selected curricula used by the top performing schools in the country, and adapt it to meet our students where they are.

Our team is data-driven, using student work and assessment results to adapt our instruction to meet specific student needs.

Safe, Structured, and Joyful Culture

On our most recent family survey, 98%+ of students and families said they feel Invictus is a safe school.

We bring our whole school together on a regular basis to  celebrate students and have fun as a school.  Each semester, we have an energetic Spirit Week complete with games and competitions!

We use restorative practices to make student mistakes a learning experience.

Students attend a regular Advisory class where they build relationships with students and staff.

We have a schoolwide rewards and consequence system, so expectations are clear and consistent.

Personalized Learning

Our students receive daily personalized learning opportunities and attention. Our teachers are trained to adapt their instruction to meet diverse student needs.

We have a robust Student Supports Team, which provides additional help to students who need it during class.

All of our teachers lead an extracurricular club, which occur during the school day so all students can participate in one. These activities have included dance, chess, soccer, flag football, podcast production, art, yearbook, and student leadership.

Excellent Teaching

We believe that excellent teaching is the difference at Invictus. We recruit teachers nation-wide to join the Invictus team.

Our teachers get over 250 hours of professional development in instruction, classroom culture and management, and operations.

Every teacher has a dedicated coach who provides feedback through classroom observations and weekly coaching meetings to drive continuous improvement.

On our most recent staff survey, 100% of our staff indicated that they receive regular feedback to grow and improve in their craft.

Partnership with Families

We work in partnership with families to ensure students receive the education they deserve.

We send home a weekly progress report with student grades and behavior data. We send home regular texts and call frequently to help parents stay informed and involved in their child’s schooling.

We hold parent conferences each semester, and share a full picture of your child’s strengths and areas for growth.
